Measure R
YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK
Voters approved Measure R during the 2016 general election in favor of issuing $39,000,000 in bonds to fund school facility construction and maintenance within the Coalinga-Huron Unified School District. The purpose of the bond measure is “to construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, or replace school facilities.” The specific projects include construction and modernization on campuses within the district dating back to 1934. These projects include but are not limited to new classroom construction, replacement of deteriorating plumbing and roofing, replacement of outdated heating, cooling and ventilation systems, and overall modernization of classrooms to meet 21st century educational standards.
