Dear Coalinga-Huron Unified School District Families, Students, and Staff,
It is my distinct honor to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of the Coalinga-Huron Unified School District (CHUSD) as we launch the 2025–2026 school year. I am deeply proud to join an extraordinary team and community devoted to our students’ achievement, growth, and well-being.
At CHUSD, we believe in the power of partnership—between staff, families, and community—in making every child’s success possible. Our district’s mission centers on empowering every student to take ownership of their learning in an environment where each voice is valued and all talents are nurtured. When students are encouraged to lead, question, and explore, they truly thrive.
This year, I invite us all to “Be Extraordinary—Together!” Whether mastering a challenging concept, excelling in the arts or athletics, serving our community, or showing kindness in everyday moments, extraordinary things happen when we lift each other up and strive for greatness together.
We hold ourselves to high expectations. With dedicated professional development, collaborative teacher planning, and data-driven instruction, our staff provides the rigorous and relevant learning experiences our students need to excel. We are committed to fostering student leadership at every level and celebrating each child’s unique strengths.
A positive and supportive school culture is the heartbeat of CHUSD. Fostering reflection, collaboration, and mutual respect among students, staff, and families ensures everyone feels safe, engaged, and inspired to learn. We work hard to ensure that every school is a welcoming place, where diversity is celebrated and all feel a powerful sense of belonging.
Community engagement is at the heart of all we do. The involvement and support of our families and community partners are essential to student success—together, we create a dynamic network of care and opportunity.

By providing expanded opportunities both inside and outside our classrooms—including community, local, and state activities—we help each young person grow into a confident, responsible, and empowered leader for our world.
