We are excited to share an important opportunity for you to shape the future of CHUSD. We are committed to engaging, challenging, and inspiring every CHUSD learner. In support of this goal, we have partnered with a value-aligned, non-profit organization, Learner-Centered Collaborative (LCC) to work with us to define what's possible for learners, families, staff, and our community.
This partnership will help us design our Portrait of a Learner which will define the essential knowledge, skills, and dispositions that are important to our community for all learners to develop. In addition, we will craft our Learning Model that will support our schools and educators in creating the types of learning experiences that will ensure our students are prepared for college, career, and life. Finally, once we know what we are aspiring to, we can create a 3-5 year strategic plan that will ensure we can accomplish what we have defined as essential.
The first step in this process is to start with listening. When we listen, we build empathy, and when we better understand our community’s experience, we can better design an environment that ensures success for all. LCC will be facilitating a survey to help the community describe what is possible in education and for the future of CHUSD.
