September is Suicide Awareness Month, a reminder that every child’s life matters and support is always available. Talking openly about mental health helps reduce stigma and strengthens connections. If your child is struggling, please know that the School Based Mental Health Team is available to support them. If your child needs help, reach out to their school counselor so that they can connect them to the mental health services offered by CHUSD. Together we can ensure students feel seen, supported, and never alone. For immediate help, call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.

Wings Over the Westside | Coalinga’s 1st Annual Airshow | Saturday, September 27, 2025
Get ready for an unforgettable day at the Coalinga Municipal Airport! The City of Coalinga invites you and your family to join us for Wings Over the Westside, our first community airshow, happening on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
This exciting event will include aerobatic performances, military and civilian aircraft on display, food trucks, classic car show, vendors, and a variety of fun activities for kids. It’s a perfect way to spend a fall day outdoors, experiencing aviation up close and creating memories with the whole family. Tickets are expected to go on sale soon and will be available online and at the gate. More details will be posted soon on the City of Coalinga’s website and social media pages.
